Hong Seong-in, CEO of BC Labs
The paradigm of AI is rapidly shifting.
We are moving beyond simple conversational chatbots toward AI Agents—entities capable of making independent decisions and taking direct action.
At the heart of this transformation is BC Labs, a company providing the critical "Web Accessibility" that allows these agents to navigate the digital world freely.
I sat down with CEO Hong Seong-in to discuss Sellanet, the essential infrastructure for the AI Agent era, and how it is poised to reshape the future business ecosystem.
Sellanet: The Hands and Feet to the LLM Brain
Hong Seong-in explains the mechanics of AI Agents by drawing a parallel to the human body.
He notes that if Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT or Gemini serve as the "brain" responsible for thinking, then AI Agents need "hands and feet" to actually function on the web—reading data, writing content, or processing payments.
Sellanet acts as this vital infrastructure, granting AI Agents robust web accessibility.
Its core technology goes beyond standard searching; it allows agents to access "Gated Data"—information hidden behind login screens or complex structures.
This enables, for instance, an AI journalist to autonomously collect the freshest, most in-depth insights from platforms like X (Twitter), Reddit, and Medium to craft high-quality articles.
The Dawn of the 'Agentic Web'
Hong predicts the imminent arrival of an Agent Economy, where AI Agents, rather than humans, become the primary economic actors.
He points out that the current internet (HTTP) was designed for human eyes and manual clicks.

However, we are approaching an era where hundreds of millions of AI Agents will communicate and transact with one another. BC Labs calls this the "Agentic Web."
In this new landscape, Sellanet aims to be the standard protocol and layer that helps these agents access the web and interact seamlessly.
Having already conducted Proof of Concept (POC) projects with various B2B clients, the company recently launched a paid subscription model, officially entering the monetization phase.
Competitive Edge: Finding What Others Cannot See
Throughout the interview, Hong emphasized that "data" remains the ultimate differentiator in the AI era.
Relying solely on publicly available information makes it difficult to maintain a competitive advantage.
He shared that clients building research agents for global hedge fund managers are desperate for data that others can't see.

Sellanet provides these clients with specialized data access via APIs, allowing them to produce more sophisticated and valuable outputs that were previously out of reach.
From Technology to the Realization of Ideas
In the past, great ideas often stalled due to high development costs and time constraints.
Today, however, AI allows almost anyone to automate business processes.
Hong advises that since the cost of execution has dropped significantly, the most important factor now is the "use case"—how one applies their specific expertise to create value.
Sellanet provides the fertile ground for companies to build their own AI assistants or journalists without being hindered by complex technical barriers.
Mini Interview: The Path of a Serial Entrepreneur
Q: As a serial entrepreneur, what is the driving force that keeps you going?
"It started with the desire to create something I needed that didn't exist in the world—something for myself and for others.
There have been many hurdles, from regulations to environmental shifts, but my energy is renewed when the team shares a clear vision and dives deep into the evolving tech landscape. Sellanet is the result of that sincere, focused contemplation."
As BC Labs continues to build Sellanet, the industry is watching closely to see how much faster we will enter the era of 24/7 autonomous AI Agents working tirelessly without human intervention.
