"You can't cure illness with food, but I hope you remember that you can't cure illness without proper food."

This is a phrase written in the greeting on the homepage of Sally Cook (sallycook.kr, CEO Eun-hee Jeong). You can feel the CEO's love for food. Sally Cook was founded in 2018 and is now in its 8th of year.

On the 18th, CEO Eun-hee Jeong of Sally Cook participated in the 2025 Agricultural and Food Tech Startup Startup Fair and said, "I've been working in the food industry for 23 years. I worked as an owner chef as a chef, and then I worked as a nutritionist at an oncology hospital. I saw the marketability of these convenient food products and started with special foods, but since they didn't sell well (to secure a cash cow), I'm preparing to export convenient foods like buchin-gae, bibimbap, and makgeolli kits first." 

founder Jeong said, "Special foods are diet foods for cancer patients or diabetes patients, and it has been about 4-5 years since the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety came out. Sally Cook entered the market before large companies, but it is not widely recognized in Korea, so it is not selling well." 

she added, "Special foods must be HACCP certified."

 she added, "The characteristic of our Sally Cook convenience foods that we want to export separately from special foods is that they can be distributed at room temperature. The shelf life is about 2 years, so there is almost no problem exporting them." 

she continued, "It is light because of the freeze-drying process. In particular, in the case of fermented products, there are many products that cannot be distributed because they are over-fermented or are refrigerated and frozen, so this can be seen as an advantage that solves such difficulties."

 she added, "If you measure the fermentation pH and stop it when it is the most delicious and then freeze-dry it, you can reduce the growth of microorganisms by removing moisture. In the US, we are starting the process with Amazon and becoming a premium dealer. We are currently in contact with local overseas distributors for distributor conditions."

CEO Jeong said, "The advantage of our convenience food is that you can make bibimbap, buchin-gae, makgeolli, and 10 other products just by adding water." He also said, "In terms of possible export volume, we can process 2-3 40-foot containers a month. About 30 (10kg) can fit in a pallet in a post office box No. 5. We are currently sending samples back and forth on pallets."

CEO Eun-hee Jeong of Sally Cook said that her business strategy is to make products that can be sold in Korea available overseas.

Currently, she is planning to promote her products at the Galleria Department Store in Apgujeong and the Hyundai Department Store in Pangyo, and is currently in the process of funding through Wadiz.

It is known that she plans to enter the domestic market through Curlina and Kakao for online sales.

At the Sally Cook booth at the 2025 Agricultural and Food Tech Startup Startup Expo held at COEX in Gangnam, south korea, the buchin-gae (Korean pancakes :)kit product was made for on-site tasting and the buchimgae kit was also given away as a gift.

Sally Cook's convenient products include cup vegetables, high-protein black sesame porridge, and stir-fried white beans with soybean paste.
