artist jang's art piece where squid and peanuts are drinking soju

On the 4th, an exhibition by artist Jang Beom-soon opened at the Chungbuk Gallery on the second floor of the Insa Art Center in Seoul. 

artist Jang's exhibition continues until the 11th. Through this exhibition, Jang creatively portrays his own "blue humor," contrasting it with "black humor." 

He emphasized, "While I interpret black humor as a humor that leaves a slightly creepy and unsettling aftertaste, the blue humor I'm trying to convey through this exhibition is humor that is humorous and entertaining through painting." 

Artist Jang, who expressed houses representing social classes in paintings of jeonse, monthly rent, and sales as snails and snail houses, humorously depicted a female snail sneaking a peek at the snail house on the sale side if the first snail is male and the second snail is female.

The picture of squid and peanuts drinking soju through straws from a soju bottle symbolizes the reversal of thinking in which squid and peanuts, which have always been snacks, become the main characters and drink alcohol.

Also , a humorous work by a painter jang who is about to explode with anger after an egg falls on the frying pan above his head. 

In particular, the picture of Beethoven in the back glaring at the dog in front urinating is a picture of Beethoven glaring at the dog in front who is mocking the dog on the left singing through the gramophone.

Artist Jang Hwa-ga graduated from Hongik University with a bachelor's degree in applied arts and a master's degree in industrial arts.

 He served as a professor in the Department of Visual Design at Semey University and worked as a research professor at the Technical University of Berlin in 2011.
